by An extraordinarily unusual Dacia Logan 2020 sedan has been put up for sale in Romania. The inexpensive sedan has been turned into a real sports car. This is reported by Focus.
The non-standard tuning of the Logan was performed by Romanian racer Cosmin Ion. The car has changed dramatically, and it’s not surprising that the price of the Dacia Logan has risen to 35,000 euros.
Despite its external resemblance to the standard Dacia Logan, all body panels are new and made of fiberglass, and transparent plastic is installed instead of glass. This allowed the weight to be reduced to 1050 kg. The car has widened fenders and added body kits. There are also new 17-inch wheels with racing tires.
Everything unnecessary was removed from the interior to reduce weight — trim, sound insulation, audio system, air conditioning. Instead, a tubular safety cage, an automatic fire extinguishing system, as well as a sports steering wheel and bucket seats appeared.
A 2.0-liter Renault engine is now installed under the hood. After refinement, its power increased from 145 to 220 hp. A new 6-speed sequential gearbox works in tandem with the engine.
In addition, the car’s chassis has been completely redesigned — new adjustable INTRAX suspension springs and AP Racing brakes are installed.
