Price Policy Update for Cadillac Celestiq
The Cadillac Celestiq electric vehicle, which some critics considered too expensive for mass sales, has received an even higher price for the 2026 model year. While in 2025 the base cost of the car was approximately $340,000, it now starts at over $400,000, and this is without considering additional options. Despite such a significant price, Cadillac reports that the model is already sold out for 2025 and orders are being accepted for the next year.
Standard Equipment and Amenities
The price increase is accompanied by an expansion of the standard package. It now includes eight years of connected services, allowing owners to fully utilize the vehicle’s advanced technologies without additional payments. Furthermore, for the 2026 models, a premium smart glass roof with a pattern will become standard, enhancing comfort and aesthetics.
Individual Approach to Manufacturing
Each Cadillac Celestiq is a unique creation, as it is handcrafted at the GM technical center in Warren, Michigan, at a rate of less than two cars per day. The final cost depends on the level of personalization the customer chooses together with the Cadillac concierge team. For 2025, production was limited to 25 units, and although the exact volume for 2026 is not disclosed, all available reservations for the current year have already been exhausted.

Simplification of the Customization Process
Cadillac also announced the optimization of the individual design process. For example, in 2025, choosing interior colors outside the standard palette required additional costs, whereas for 2026 models, one price includes all color options, making personalization simpler and more transparent for buyers.

Model Prospects in the Market
The first Celestiq unit was delivered to an owner in June of this year, and the company is actively working to fulfill orders for 2025. The price increase and heightened demand indicate that this electric vehicle may find its niche among the highest class of automobiles, although long-term success in this exclusive segment remains questionable. Future production and market reaction will be key to assessing its competitiveness.
This situation illustrates a general trend in the automotive industry, where premium brands are increasingly focusing on limited series and individualization to meet the demands of the most discerning clients. Despite criticism regarding the high cost, demand for such products often remains stable due to uniqueness and exclusivity, underscoring the importance of Cadillac’s strategy in positioning the Celestiq as a flagship model.
