Cadillac Challenges Rolls-Royce: The $400,000 Luxury Electric Vehicle Celestiq (Photo)

A new icon of electric luxury has appeared on the horizon of the automotive world — Cadillac Celestiq. General Motors has officially started sales of this flagship electric vehicle, which, according to the company itself, is set to return Cadillac to the top league — to the club of Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Mercedes-Maybach.

The Celestiq is not just a car, but a masterpiece, each example of which is created by hand according to the individual wishes of the client. Even the first handover of the car to its new owner took place in a closed format — without cameras and without details. So, no “typical” versions of this model simply exist.

The dimensions of the electric liftback are impressive: 5.5 meters in length and only 1.45 meters in height. Thanks to a giant 111 kWh battery, the interior is executed in a “four throne seats” format — with a semi-reclining seating position, like in a luxurious lounge. But the interior design is also no longer classic wood and leather, but rather a gamer’s fantasy on the theme of “luxury 2030”: giant displays, ambient lighting, contrasting colors, and, of course, high-tech in every element. The audio system? Up to 42 speakers — a separate symphony of technology.

Under the (figurative) hood — two electric motors with a combined output of 664 hp and 875 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive provides not only confident traction but also appropriate dynamics for a vehicle of this caliber.

The price? The manufacturer modestly notes: “determined individually,” but it starts from approximately 400 thousand US dollars. Well then, shall we wait for the “battles”)?
