Delivery of the New Cadillac Celestiq
Cadillac continues to deliver its premium Celestiq electric vehicles, and recently another unit was received by a new owner from Michigan named Mark Mitchell. This event took place during a private ceremony at the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham, which is owned by Mitchell himself.
The car, finished in Siku Tricoat color with an interior in Camelia and Sheer Gray tones, was personally signed by General Motors President Mark Reuss, who attended the event. Mitchell noted that the car exceeded all his expectations.
Celestiq Technical Features
The Celestiq is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system with two motors that together produce 655 hp and 875 Nm of torque. Its 111 kWh battery provides a range of approximately 488 km.
Brand Strategy and Future Models
Despite the success with electric models, Cadillac has not forgotten about traditional cars. The brand is preparing an updated version of the XT5 SUV, scheduled for launch in the second half of 2027. The American version is expected to be produced in Tennessee and will receive a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 hp.
According to company representatives, about 25% of Cadillac sales now come from electric vehicles, and models such as the Optiq, Lyriq, and Vistiq are attracting over 70% of new customers to the brand. However, the majority of sales are still provided by ICE vehicles.
Cadillac has come a long way since the brand faced difficulties back in 2015. Investments in new models and electrification have helped it not only update its lineup but also attract new buyers. The future of the brand looks multifaceted: a combination of electric vehicles and updated conventional models could ensure sustainable market growth.
