Cadillac Raises the Level of Luxury and Prices for the Base Sedan Model

Update for the 2026 Cadillac CT4 Model Lineup

Cadillac has introduced the updated CT4 model lineup for the 2026 year, which includes additional equipment and new colors. The base model received a slight price increase, while the CT4-V version became more expensive by $2705. The CT4-V Blackwing model returns with a new steering wheel and a standard Driver Assist package.

Changes in Standard Equipment and Prices

Cadillac quietly announced the 2026 CT4 lineup, which includes a number of relatively minor changes. Unfortunately, prices have risen: the base sedan now starts at $35,600 excluding the $1495 destination fee. This is an increase of $605, but customers will receive more standard equipment, which effectively balances out the changes. Specifically, the Luxury trim now includes the Cold Weather Package, which previously cost $600. It adds a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

In other trims, the CT4 Premium Luxury and Sport, the Climate Package is now included. This was previously a $1200 option that added heated and ventilated front seats.

Exterior Appearance and Colors

While the CT5 received a facelift last year, the CT4 retains its familiar look. The only visual differences for the 2026 year are slight adjustments to the color palette, which now offers Coastal Blue Metallic and Vibrant White Tricoat.

Engines and Technical Specifications

Under the hood of the base model is a bi-turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 237 hp (177 kW / 240 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine producing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque in the Premium Luxury trim.

The mid-range CT4-V starts at $50,000. This is a significant increase, as its predecessor started at $47,295, and Cadillac did not mention any changes. On the positive side, it continues to feature a 2.7-liter turbo engine producing 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and 380 lb-ft (515 Nm) of torque.

Top Model CT4-V Blackwing

The top of the lineup is the CT4-V Blackwing. It starts at $62,700, which is $505 more expensive. While price increases are always perceived negatively, customers will receive a new sport steering wheel. Furthermore, cars equipped with the ten-speed automatic transmission now have the standard Driver Assist package, which adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.

As before, the CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with a bi-turbo 3.6-liter V6 producing 472 hp (352 kW / 479 PS) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and allows the rear-wheel-drive sports sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds.

2026 Cadillac CT4 Prices

Trim Price
CT4 $35,600
CT4-V $50,000
CT4-V Blackwing $62,700

Overall, the update for the 2026 Cadillac CT4 demonstrates a trend towards increasing standard equipment, making the models more attractive despite the price increases. This could be the brand’s strategy to maintain competitiveness in the luxury sedan market, especially considering the growing popularity of electric vehicles. Additional safety and comfort features, such as the Driver Assist package, highlight the emphasis on technologies that enhance the driving experience.
