In two years, AMG cars will look completely different

New Mercedes-AMG models: more power and unique design

Mercedes-AMG is preparing a major update to its car lineup. In the coming years, the company plans to introduce a whole range of new models, both with internal combustion engines and electric ones. In addition to improved technical specifications, the cars will receive a more expressive and aggressive design that will clearly distinguish them from regular Mercedes-Benz models.

The brand, once associated exclusively with powerful V8s, now offers a variety of options—from four-cylinder hatchbacks to hybrid systems. For example, the new C63 version sparked controversy due to the abandonment of the V8 in favor of a turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid. However, AMG is not stopping there and is already working on full-fledged electric vehicles, including sedans and SUVs.

Electric direction and unique style

Future electric AMG models will be built on a dedicated AMG.EA platform and designed with track performance requirements in mind. AMG CEO Michael Schiebe emphasized that these cars will be suitable for racetracks, providing stable acceleration and braking.

“Customers love AMG’s unique look and its distinctiveness. In the future, our cars will become even more expressive.”

Expected lineup

The company is planning its largest release of new models in decades. Schiebe noted that in the next two to three years, AMG will introduce many new products, both electric and with internal combustion engines. Among them may be an updated version of the C63 with an inline six-cylinder engine, which is expected to serve as a compromise between tradition and the evolution of electric mobility.

Given the criticism over the abandonment of V8s in some models, AMG is trying to strike a balance between innovation and the expectations of brand enthusiasts. The coming years will show whether the company can handle this task and attract new supporters without losing the old ones.
