Chrysler Introduces the 2027 Pacifica, Which Strikingly Resembles Its Detroit Relative

Chrysler Reveals the Updated 2027 Pacifica Minivan

Chrysler has subtly showcased the first images of the 2027 model year Pacifica, offering a glimpse into the future of its long-running minivan. The official debut is likely to happen very soon, although details are still limited.

The main changes will be a completely new front end, whose design evokes associations with Cadillac and Kia. This is thanks to the vertical headlights with sharp accents. An LED light bar connects the headlights and appears to illuminate the Chrysler logo.

Design Details and Expected Technical Changes

A narrow grille and a larger lower air intake are visible below. The new bumper also features sharp lines instead of soft curves. Although the front is entirely new, the vehicle’s profile seems to remain virtually unchanged, except possibly for updated wheel designs for higher trim levels.

Chrysler has not shown the rear, but previous spy photos suggest the updates will be relatively minor and focused primarily on the tailgate.

The interior remains a mystery for now, although previous shots have allowed a glimpse of an updated instrument panel and likely a larger multimedia system.

Potential Powertrain Updates

The company is currently silent on technical details. Considering that Stellantis has discontinued hybrid model sales in the US, the current Pacifica is offered exclusively with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. However, there is a possibility that this engine could be supplemented or even replaced by the new turbocharged Hurricane I4 engine, which has already debuted in the updated Grand Cherokee, demonstrating greater power and torque.

Despite minivans losing popularity to crossovers, Chrysler continues to invest in its key model. The 2027 update appears focused on modern design and possible technical upgrades aimed at maintaining the Pacifica’s competitiveness in the market. The success of these changes will largely depend on the final specifications, price, and whether the model can attract new buyers seeking the comfort and space of a family vehicle in a contemporary package.
