Chrysler sharply cuts prices on 2027 Pacifica just a month after premiere

Chrysler cuts prices on the updated 2027 Pacifica just a month after premiere

After its debut at the New York Auto Show, Chrysler announced price cuts for the 2027 Pacifica. The updated minivan starts at $41,495 excluding a $1,995 destination charge.

This is the same price announced in April, but it is $100 higher than the recently discontinued Voyager LX model. It is also worth noting that the model avoids both the 2021 and 2027 facelifts, looking as if it is from 2017.

Like most consumers, we will ignore this and move on to the Pacifica Select, which starts at $43,545. Originally, this version was supposed to start at $44,545, which was $100 more than the 2026 model, which cost $44,445.

Updated design and standard equipment

Bypassing the math exercises, it is worth noting that the Select trim and above received a completely new front end with an illuminated grille and vertical LED headlights. Buyers will also find an updated rear light bar trim and a new brand logo.

Aside from the mild update, the minivan comes equipped with acoustic windshield, power sliding doors, and a power liftgate. These are joined by rain sensors and 17- or 18-inch wheels.

The interior feels like a step back in time due to the presence of analog gauges separated by a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster. The model also has a relatively small 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system.

Comfort and technology in the cabin

Other features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an eight-way power driver’s seat. Buyers will also get Caprice eco-leather upholstery, Stow ‘n Go second-row seats, and a foldable Stow ‘n Go third-row seat.

The feature list also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror, three-zone automatic climate control, and second-row sunshades. The Select also has a six-speaker audio system and a universal garage door opener.

The standard suite of driver assistance systems includes adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function, lane departure warning system, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic detection. The model also has automatic emergency braking and rear ParkSense parking sensors.

Pacifica Limited Trim

The Pacifica Limited starts at $47,995, which is $1,710 less than the initial price of $49,705 and $1,610 less than the 2026 model. It features new power liftgate with height adjustment, as well as additional equipment including power-folding side mirrors, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and standard 18-inch wheels.

The cabin receives a noticeable upgrade with heated and ventilated front seats upholstered in Nappa leather, heated second-row seats, and a premium console. Other nice touches include ambient lighting, GPS navigation, and a premium 13-speaker Alpine audio system.

Top-of-the-line Pacifica Pinnacle Trim

Last but not least, the top-of-the-line Pinnacle trim starts at $54,910. This is the same price initially announced, but significant savings compared to the 2026 model, which started at $56,095.

It features a slightly updated exterior with chrome accents, 20-inch wheels, and power sliding doors with hands-free opening. Bigger changes occur inside thanks to the addition of quilted Sepia Nappa leather seats, an ultra console, and a built-in vacuum cleaner. The model also has second-row captain’s chairs and power-folding third row.

The updates don’t end there: the luxurious minivan has second-row lumbar cushions and sunshades in both rear rows. These are joined by a 115-volt power outlet and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Chrysler also adds several additional driver assistance systems, including blind spot view with turn signal indication and front/rear ParkSense parking sensors with stop function. Other additions include a 360-degree surround-view camera system and “camera activation” technology, which detects objects and automatically displays the image from the camera containing them.

Regardless of the chosen trim, all Pacificas are equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 287 hp (214 kW / 291 PS) and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, which can be combined with an optional all-wheel drive system.

The 2027 Pacifica is already arriving at dealers, and Chrysler CEO Matt McAlear stated that the new lower prices will help make the minivan a reliable family member.

2027 Chrysler Pacifica Prices
Trim Initial Price Price Reduction New MSRP
LX FWD $41,495 $41,495
Select FWD $44,545 $1,000 $43,545
Select AWD $47,890 $1,350 $46,540
Limited FWD $49,705 $1,710 $47,995
Limited AWD $53,050 $2,060 $50,990
Pinnacle FWD $54,910 $54,910
Pinnacle AWD $58,255 $350 $57,905

Prices do not include the $1,995 destination charge

This rapid price reduction, especially on the Select and Limited trims, indicates Chrysler’s desire to stimulate demand for the updated minivan amid fierce competition in the segment. While the base price remained unchanged, the reduction in the price of the middle trims makes the Pacifica a more attractive choice for families seeking a spacious and technologically advanced vehicle. It is worth noting that even after the discounts, the price of the new Pacifica remains higher than that of its predecessor, the Voyager, which could be a strategic move to position the model in a more premium segment.
