Few people know that the new Range Rover Sport shares components with the old Peugeot and Citroen. To be more precise, they share the same engine.
These photos were sent by a TopGir reader. The logos of Citroen and Peugeot are clearly visible on the three-liter turbo diesel Range Rover Sport.
The fact is that the V6 Lion turbo diesels are a joint development of the Ford and PSA groups.
During their creation, Land Rover was owned by Ford.
The three-liter AJD-V6 engine is now installed on various Jaguar and Land Rover models, and it was previously used in French Citroen C6 and Peugeot 407. The PSA Group lineup now no longer includes models with a diesel V6, but obviously, the engines for the Range Rover Sport continue to be made at the factories of the French group.
