Simply by pulling, Tesla rescued a Ford F-150 from a snowy spot.
Huge power and torque helped the electric car in situations like this.
Although the Tesla Cybertruck seems to be a typical target for mockery, one example recently managed to pull a worried position out of a snowy spot somewhere in Canada. Despite the possibility that it was all staged, the video shows that with a great set of tires, the car can use all its electric power.
These videos, posted on the Cybertruck Owners Club online resource, were shot by a group of friends who were enjoying winter fun with both the Cybertruck and the Ford F-150. For some still unknown reasons, the F-150 driver seems to have intentionally driven into a snow bank just off the road, and, of course, got stuck. A classic move.
Now we can all scratch our heads and assume it was all staged — maybe the F-150 was driven into the snow just so Tesla could save the day. Yet, despite all that, the video demonstrates one thing: the Cybertruck can actually do it.
Traveling through snow can be difficult for any road-going vehicle, but this Cybertruck appears to have been aided by being equipped with a set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, which give it better traction than standard tires. We’re not sure if it’s the dual motor and all-wheel-drive version or the tri-motor Cyberbeast, but it appears it had more than enough power to easily pull the Ford.
Despite random viral adventures, their electric motors and advanced electronics can be useful in certain off-road situations. For example, Tesla navigates even the toughest and most well-known rock-crawling sections in the U.S., including “Hell’s Revenge” and “Hot Tub” in Moab, Utah, with no problem.
