Ford has announced a massive recall of over 270,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a potential issue with brake tubes. The affected models include the Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, manufactured between 2021 and 2024.
According to the report, the front brake lines may rub against the engine air cleaner outlet pipe. This occurs due to possible damage during vehicle assembly. Such a malfunction can lead to brake fluid leakage, increasing the risk of an accident.

Problem details
At the time of the recall announcement, the company had recorded 45 cases of brake fluid leaks under warranty. Owners of affected vehicles will receive notifications by mail starting May 26. Dealerships will conduct free inspections and replace faulty parts.
Although the manufacturer has not registered any accidents due to this issue, the potential danger is serious. In the event of a complete fluid leak, the driver may lose the ability to brake effectively. The recall covers 223,315 Expeditions and 50,474 Navigators.
This is not Ford’s first recall recently, indicating increased quality control by the manufacturer. The company is responding promptly to potential problems before they lead to serious consequences.
