Citroen presented a stylish and affordable electric SUV (photo)

According to the French automaker, this vehicle is suitable for a very wide age category – from 14 to 77 years. The budget mini-crossover is designed for 2 people and equipped with an electric powertrain, with a range of 75 kilometers.

Externally, the car looks very stylish and at the same time cartoonish. In theory, you can drive it anywhere – whether to school or work, or use it as a weekend car. After all, basically, it’s a beach buggy with a lot of different attachments.

The model is called My Ami Buggy and is an off-road version of the compact electric vehicle Citroen Ami. According to the French, it should open a new chapter in personal transport. On the one hand, it is not a full-fledged car, but neither is it a motorcycle, and certainly not an electric scooter or a unicycle. Perhaps it’s closest to ATVs.

The price of Citroen Ami is 6990 euros for the basic version, the top (Vibe) will cost 8350 euros. As for My Ami Buggy, it currently has concept status, but is expected to become mass-produced soon. The maximum speed of the buggy is 45 km per hour, which explains the possibility of use from 14 years old (in France, in Germany, for example – from 15 years old).

The electric installation consists of a 6 kW (8 hp) motor and a 5.5 kW·h battery. The “quad car” can be charged from a regular socket in 3 and a half hours. A full charge is enough for 75 kilometers of travel.

Depending on the customer’s wishes, this “quad” can have quite adult off-road attributes – from a bull bar to an expedition rack and a diode “chandelier”.
