Renault Converted the Kangoo Van into a Convertible Limousine
Renault Argentina has introduced an unusual modification of the Kangoo Express van, turning it into an open-top limousine for factory tours. The car retained the front and rear sections of the original model but received a significantly extended wheelbase, four rows of seats, and the ability to carry up to nine passengers.
The President of Renault Argentina, Pablo Sibila, shared photos of the unique model on social media. The limousine features a bright design with the colors of the Argentine flag and elements of the Renault logo. Passengers in the rear rows sit higher, ensuring a better view.
This unusual project was created for factory tours, especially for schoolchildren. However, it is not currently in use due to the preparation of the Santa Isabel plant for the production of a new pickup model.
The base Kangoo Express model in Argentina is offered with two engines: a 1.6-liter gasoline engine (112 hp) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (88 hp). After the launch of the new pickup model, the limousine will begin to be used for its intended purpose.
This project demonstrates the creative approach of the automaker to corporate events. Such non-serial models often become the focus of attention for car enthusiasts and the media, increasing interest in the brand. The use of a commercial model as the basis for a limousine is particularly interesting, as it is a rare occurrence in the automotive industry.
