This is a victory: AvtoVAZ will produce Lada Granta in the configuration of Soviet Zhiguli en

In June, AvtoVAZ will start production of the “anti-crisis” model. It will be the Lada Granta in the so-called simplified configuration, but it would be fairer to call it “bare.” After all, in terms of equipment level, it will differ little from the Zhiguli of Soviet times.

So, what the “anti-crisis” Lada will (not) be equipped with:

  • ABS – no
  • ESP – no
  • Airbags – no
  • Electric windows – no
  • Euro-5 firmware – no (there will be Euro-2 standard, which was introduced in Europe in 1997)
  • Power steering – no

The cost of such a Lada will be 600 thousand “wooden,” which is almost 300 thousand hryvnias when converted. A considerable price tag for a car with a “shaman’s drum” equipment level.

However, there is also a “for the rich” version, which will cost from 730 thousand (350 thousand hryvnias) and will have:

  • Even 1 airbag
  • ABS
  • Power steering
  • Front power windows

Also, we add that the car will have only one available engine (a VAZ 1.6 gasoline engine with 90 horsepower) and a steering wheel from Lada Kalina. That’s what we understand as a level…

We note that recently Russian workers at the BMW factory were offered to pick strawberries instead of assembling foreign cars.
