This is the first Bentley electric car, created to carry not only your ego

First spy shots of the new Bentley Urban SUV

Last year, Bentley decided to postpone the transition to a fully electric lineup until 2030, but the brand’s first electric model is set to debut next year.

Design and dimensions

The new Urban SUV will be smaller than the existing Bentayga and similar in size to the electric Porsche Cayenne – approximately 5 meters long. For comparison, the standard Bentayga is 5,125 mm long.

The prototype showcases a square front end, a flat hood, and widened rear fenders, characteristic of Bentley’s design. However, some details, such as the lighting, may change under the influence of the EXP 15 concept presented this summer.

The model’s roof has a noticeable slope after the B-pillar, giving it a sportier appearance compared to the Bentayga. The rear doors also look shorter.

Technical specifications

In terms of technical aspects, significant commonality with the electric Porsche Cayenne is expected. The latter will have three power levels: a base version with 394 hp, an S version with 592 hp, and a Turbo with 794 hp.

Considering Bentley’s position within the Volkswagen Group, it is logical to assume that the Urban SUV will skip the base power level

The model may receive a battery with a capacity of about 108 kWh, providing a range of approximately 563 km according to the WLTP standard. Support for fast charging with power up to 400 kW is anticipated.

The full debut of the Urban SUV will take place in mid-2026, and customer deliveries will begin in the second quarter of 2027. Pricing policy has not been disclosed yet, but the model is expected to cost less than the Bentayga, which starts from $207,000.

This model will be an important step for Bentley in the transition to electric vehicles, offering customers a more compact alternative while preserving the brand’s premium qualities. The manufacturer demonstrates a cautious approach to electrification, combining traditional design elements with modern technologies.
