Revival of a Legend
The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am disappeared from dealerships decades ago, but its fame lives on. It was this appeal that inspired the small American company Trans Am Worldwide to revive this model after Chevrolet introduced the fifth-generation Camaro in 2010.
Unique Specimens
Currently, two exclusive cars from this series are seeking new owners in Florida. To recreate the Trans Am, the team used the Camaro as a base, completely changing its exterior and interior, as well as modernizing the powertrain to create a car capable of competing with supercars.
Limited Series
The finished product, known as the Trans Am Super Duty, was released in a limited series of only 50 units. Trans Am Specialties from Florida is now offering two of these rare cars to new buyers.
Exterior and Interior
The first example, car number 12, has a deep black body color and silver wheels. Like all Super Duty models, it is equipped with updated bumpers, grilles, and front and rear lighting elements styled in the spirit of the legendary “screaming chicken”.
Inside, the cabin continues the individual styling with black and gray leather upholstery, complemented by blue piping and embroidered logos on the seatbacks and headrests.
Engine Power
Under the hood lies a 7.4-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces over 1000 horsepower and 1046 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. This power surpasses the figures of the original Bugatti Veyron with its 987 hp and remains higher than many modern supercars.
These are incredible figures, especially considering that this car was built in 2017, several years before Ford introduced its latest Shelby GT500 with 760 hp.
Second Example
The Trans Am Super Duty number 3, which is also offered for sale, has a blue body color and is equipped with removable carbon fiber T-tops, as well as the same powerful 1000 hp engine. The interior features a combination of black and red leather.
Pricing Policy
While the price of the black car remains unknown, the blue example costs $275,000. This is undoubtedly a high price for a car based on the Camaro, even considering the carbon fiber body panels and four-digit power output. However, such a journey into the past, complemented by supercharged power, may attract loyal fans of the brand.
These cars demonstrate how modern technology can be combined with classic design to create unique products for collectors and enthusiasts. The limited series and individual production make them not only powerful but also exclusive, which emphasizes their value in the high-performance car market.
