This is the Only Unique Aston Martin Rapide Station Wagon in the World

  • The Aston Martin Rapide Jet 2+2 Shooting Brake by Bertone was created on the order of an enthusiast.
  • Retaining the original 6.0-liter V12, this car produces 476 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
  • The unique Aston Martin has 24,169 miles on it and goes to auction with no reserve.

A year before it went bankrupt (prior to its revival in 2022), the renowned design house took the Rapide and transformed it into a Shooting Brake. The former model was named Jet 2+2 and was presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Despite its coolness, only one unit was built, and now this very unique station wagon is going to auction.

The long-roofed Rapide was created to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the relationship between Aston Martin and Bertone. It drew inspiration from two previous models created in 2004 and was commissioned by Aston Martin collector Barry Weir. As soon as the model was introduced, the British brand granted permission to start production, planning for Bertone to build nine more similar cars. However, the company broke down, and this didn’t happen.

During the conversion to a Shooting Brake, Bertone designers extended the roof and made necessary changes to the rear, staying true to the original style. New rear lights with lighting appeared, as well as an electrochromatic panoramic glass roof. Additionally, the rear seats can be folded electronically, and the interior trim is executed in a combination of Cream Truffle and Obsidian Black colors.

Similarly to the standard Rapide, the Jet 2+2 Shooting Brake by Bertone retains the original 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 with 476 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque (600 Nm). This allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

The sale is handled by Dore & Rees and notes that this unique unit has 24,169 miles (38,896 km) on it. Information on the car’s ownership history is not provided in the listing. However, the car was in 2020 and, according to a report at the time, had traveled 10,000 miles.

For those interested in acquiring a piece of Aston Martin and Bertone history, the Jet 2+2 is officially up for auction by Dore & Rees. You can view the listing and take part in the bidding on their website.
