Restomodded 1968 Mustang with Modern Technology

Restomods are becoming increasingly popular thanks to modern manufacturing technologies. This 1968 Ford Mustang is a vivid example of this approach. Externally, it has retained its classic look but received modern technical upgrades.

The car has only 2,695 miles on the odometer. The body is adorned with handcrafted front wheel fenders and original door handles. Under the hood – a powerful 5.0-liter engine, which is paired with a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission.

Technical Features

The Aluminator XS engine is equipped with Mahle forged pistons and has an 11.0:1 compression ratio. The car received a Griggs Racing suspension, a Wilwood braking system, and a safety cage with removable side bars.

The interior is also modernized: classic instruments, a modern Vintage Air climate control system, a Sony audio system with a subwoofer, and leather sports seats with safety belts. An additional fire extinguishing system increases the level of protection.

This unique specimen will be sold at the Mecum auction in Florida. The price is expected to be high due to the rare combination of classic design and modern technology. Collectors and restomod enthusiasts will certainly appreciate this model for its exceptional performance and attention to detail.
