This Honda Car Resembles the Cherokee More Than the New Jeep Cherokee

Japanese Honda WR-V Tuning in the Style of a Jeep Cherokee

The Japanese tuning company Damd has presented an unusual project — styling the compact Honda WR-V to resemble the classic Jeep Cherokee XJ. The Reverb kit includes:

Style from the Past, Today’s Technology

The front part of the car is completely changed, reminiscent of the iconic 1980s Cherokee. However, the sides and rear retain the original Honda WR-V design. The interior offers checkerboard seat covers, but the technical components remain standard — a 1.5-liter engine with 119 hp and a CVT transmission.

“This is not just a copy — it’s a modern interpretation of an off-road icon”

The full upgrade kit costs from $2300, not including painting and installation. For the full effect, additional LED headlights for $180 and wooden decals for $440 can be ordered. The cost of the rear decor and seat covers has not yet been announced.

This approach allows for achieving a nostalgic look without the need to buy and maintain a real used off-road vehicle. It is particularly interesting that the base is precisely a compact crossover, which is usually associated with an urban environment, not off-roading.
