This Expensive Dodge Pickup with Mitsubishi Influence Was Restored – It’s Nonsensical but Wonderful!

Restored Dodge Ram 50 Finds a New Owner

Sometimes the most interesting thing about having significant funds is not buying standard supercars, but the opportunity to realize unusual projects. For example, restoring a rare pickup with individual modifications, regardless of the cost.

That’s exactly how someone created a unique Ram 50 Sport. This model, which in the 1980s competed with the Ford Courier and Toyota Pickup, usually did not survive to our days in good condition. However, this specimen was not only restored but also received a number of improvements: an upgraded engine, wooden body trim, a sports steering wheel, and other details.

Model History

The Ram 50 is essentially a Mitsubishi L200 that was sold in the USA under the Dodge brand. By 1986, this model already belonged to the discontinued first generation, as the next one debuted just a year later.

This particular specimen was sold for $59,900, which indicates serious investment in the restoration. Similar projects often become a matter of personal preference – after all, from a financial point of view, they rarely justify the investment. However, it is precisely such cars that preserve history and generate genuine, passionate interest.
