BMW and Deus Ex Machina Have Created a Unique Electric Bike
BMW is known for its innovative motorcycles, and the CE 02 is one of the most unusual. This compact electric bike, introduced a few years ago, has now received an exclusive version thanks to a collaboration with Deus Ex Machina. The Australian brand, which started with clothing and then moved into motorcycle customization, created this model as a mobile DJ studio on two wheels.
The special CE 02 x Deus version is equipped with four compact Marshall speakers and a sophisticated turntable player. It would be perfect for musicians who want to play on the go. However, this model will remain unique and will not go on sale.
Production Version of the CE 02
For those who want to purchase a CE 02, the base variant starts at $7,599. It is classified as an electric scooter and offers two engine options: 5 or 15 hp. The more powerful version accelerates to 30 mph in 3 seconds, with a top speed of 59 mph. The range is about 59 miles, and charging to 80% takes 180 minutes.
This project demonstrates how BMW is experimenting with new transportation formats and collaborating with creative brands. Although the DJ version of the CE 02 will not become a production model, it may inspire owners to create their own customizations. Deus Ex Machina plans to display the bike in its boutiques and BMW dealerships in France, showcasing the combination of music, design, and electromobility.
