The New Changan Nevo Q06 Crossover
The Chinese electric vehicle market has been enriched by another stylish crossover. The Changan Nevo Q06 model has dimensions similar to the Xiaomi SU7 sedan but is likely to be offered at a more accessible price and with less emphasis on high dynamic performance.
The car will be offered in two versions: fully electric and with a range extender engine. The range extender version will be equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 97 hp. The model’s design stands out with elegant front and rear lights.
Design and Exterior
Published images demonstrate that the crossover has inherited design features from the Nevo A06 sedan. The front features split headlights and a full-width LED light bar, as well as a black lower grille and air intakes.

The manufacturer has also installed glossy black wheel arches, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, and retractable door handles. The side profile looks particularly streamlined thanks to a smooth shoulder line and robust rear fenders. The rear is equipped with an LED light bar and a body-colored diffuser.
It is known that 14 wheel design options will be available for the Nevo Q06, along with a two-tone rear spoiler, tinted windows, and a panoramic roof. The crossover’s dimensions are: length – 4837 mm, width – 1970 mm, height – 1670 mm, wheelbase – 2940 mm.
Engines and Technical Features
Unlike some other models of the brand, the Nevo Q06 will be available not only as a fully electric vehicle. Buyers will be offered two rear-wheel-drive electric models with 282 and 302 hp. For those seeking more power, a version with two motors producing 444 hp is provided, increasing the top speed from 200 km/h to 230 km/h.
The exact capacity of the battery packs has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that they will be LFP batteries from CATL, a partner of Changan.
The range extender version, in addition to the 1.5-liter gasoline engine, will have two electric motors on the rear axle. Details about the battery pack for this modification are not yet known, but it may receive an innovative sodium-ion battery, like the A06 sedan.
The appearance of the Nevo Q06 highlights the trend towards diversification of powertrains in the market. Manufacturers are giving consumers a choice between pure electricity and technologies that reduce range anxiety, adapting to different infrastructure and needs. The wide selection of wheels and design options indicates a desire to attract young buyers, for whom appearance is an important factor.
