Lynk & Co 08: A New PHEV SUV for Europe
The Chinese brand Lynk & Co, owned by Geely, has introduced its new 08 SUV with a hybrid powertrain in Europe. The car can travel up to 200 km on electric power alone according to the WLTP standard, which is one of the best figures among PHEVs.

In Europe, the model will be available in two trim levels:
- Core – starting from €53,995
- More – starting from €56,995 with additional equipment
Sales will begin in July 2024. Unlike fully electric Chinese cars, the PHEV version is not subject to increased EU tariffs.
Lynk & Co’s electric vehicle sales fell by 33% in the first four months of 2024, so the company hopes the new model will help improve the situation.
Despite its attractive features, brand representatives confirmed that the model is not planned for release in the North American market in the near future. This may be due to both the complexity of competition in the local market and regulatory specifics for hybrid vehicles. The 08 model was previously showcased as a carrier of the brand’s new design philosophy, and now it is becoming available to European buyers in a full-fledged production version.
