This Small 911 Builder Just Put Porsche To Shame With Its New Warranty

Warranty Premium from Gunther Werks

American restomod specialist Gunther Werks from California has set a new standard for warranty service, surpassing Porsche’s offering. The company provides a 5-year or 100,000-mile warranty on its vehicles, which significantly exceeds Porsche’s standard 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.

Warranty for All Customers

The warranty applies not only to new models but also retroactively to all Gunther Werks vehicles already in operation on the roads. This is a rare offer for vehicles of this class, especially considering their limited mileage activity.

Quality Philosophy

Our plan was developed over months, stated founder and CEO Peter Nam. We wanted to do this because we believe in the integrity of our engineering. When Hyundai introduced its 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, it changed people’s perception of quality and confidence.

We apply the same philosophy in our segment not because our vehicles require it, but because we stand behind every assembly. Most of our clients will never come close to these mileage figures, but the very idea that they could if they wanted to speaks to our commitment, Nam explained.

Exclusive Speedster

The warranty announcement accompanied the completion of the limited edition Speedster production, based on the Porsche 993 model. Only 25 units of this model were produced, making it one of the most refined versions.

Future Projects

Following the completion of the Speedster production, the company will focus on the Turbo version with a twin-turbo engine producing 750 hp, limited to 75 units. A F-26 model with 1000 hp, inspired by the 936 Slantnose and 911 Slantnose design, is also planned for release.

Such a warranty for vehicles costing around $850,000 underscores the manufacturer’s confidence in the quality of its products. This may also impact the restomod market, where reliability is often questioned due to individual modifications. Similar steps could encourage other manufacturers to review their warranty policies, especially in niche segments where customers expect the highest level of service.
