Unique BMW E30 in Pickup Form
In the UK, a craftsman has transformed a BMW 325i Touring into an unusual pickup. The car is equipped with a body kit from the M3, a turbocharged engine, and an original cargo compartment. However, the project still requires refinement and has been listed for sale at £6,995.
This BMW E30 was originally a standard station wagon, but after modifications, it took on the appearance of an open-body pickup. Styling elements from the E30 M3 were used: widened fenders, a sporty bumper, and a spoiler. The wheel rims are 17-inch BBS replicas.
“It’s a bit of a ‘Frankenstein,’ but it looks harmonious, combining elegance and aggressiveness, as only the E30 can.”
Technical Features and Condition of the Car
Under the hood remains the 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine, but with an added Garrett turbo and a custom exhaust system. Exact power figures are unavailable, but the increase should be noticeable. The transmission is a manual five-speed.
The interior requires restoration: the leather upholstery is already worn, though the dashboard, according to the seller, is in good condition. The cargo bed is lined with metal sheets for added durability.
The car is located in the UK, and the sale is linked to the owner’s injury. Along with the pickup, a set of spare parts is included, which could be useful for completing the project.
This BMW E30 conversion is an example of how a classic car can be reimagined, adding uniqueness. Although the project is not yet complete, it already attracts attention with its unconventionality and potential for further refinement. For E30 enthusiasts, this is an opportunity to acquire a rare specimen for relatively little money.
