This Renault Prototype Can Launch Drones and Save Lives

Renault Unveils Fire and Rescue Vehicle Concept

Renault has introduced a unique fire and rescue vehicle concept, the Vision 4Rescue, based on the electric 4 E-Tech model. This vehicle is designed as a mobile command center with the capability to launch drones. Among its key features are a 15 mm increased ground clearance and an all-wheel-drive system with two motors.

The concept’s exterior is finished in a bright red color with graphics inspired by emergency services. The vehicle is equipped with modified bumpers featuring 3D-printed shock absorbers that reduce damage. The roof houses an aerodynamic compartment for the drone and equipment, enabling the restoration of communication after disasters.

Interior and Functionality

The interior was developed in collaboration with fire services. The upper section includes a work area with monitors and a keyboard for drone control, while the lower section is intended for storing equipment: helmets, tablets, and radios. The seats are upholstered in a material made from recycled firefighter suits.

Renault notes that the concept features about 20 interconnected solutions designed to standardize emergency service technologies.

The vehicle is also equipped with a communication system bearing the inscription “Je te reçois 4 sur 4” (“I hear you loud and clear”). This project is part of the Software République initiative aimed at improving coordination among emergency services.

The Vision 4Rescue concept demonstrates how modern technologies can be integrated into rescue operations. The use of drones and digital solutions can significantly accelerate emergency response, making the work of security services more efficient.
