This Lowered Roush F-150 Isn’t Afraid of Sharp Turns and Risks

Not every pickup is made for jumping in the desert or crazy off-roading. Sometimes the main thing is to confidently take corners and surprise sports car owners. The F-150 was never conceived as a machine to chase Corvettes on the track. Of course, Raptor versions exist, but they are tuned for straight-line speed and off-road performance. This is where the Roush Nitemare comes in.

Created specifically for “precise handling,” this variant of America’s most popular pickup focuses on dynamics so much that it doesn’t even have engine modifications. It is produced exclusively in a two-door version with serious refinements to improve cornering.

As expected, the changes start with the suspension. Roush lowered the front by 3 inches and the rear by 5 inches, installing special shock absorbers, progressive-rate springs, and a new stabilizer bar. The Nitemare also received 22-inch wheels with General Tires G-Max AS07 305/40 tires. According to the manufacturer, the pickup achieves over 1.0G on the track thanks to these updates.

Among other changes are new perforated brake discs and an exhaust system with dual black tips. Roush claims the pickup demonstrates “exceptional road grip,” and while it won’t be able to compete with true sports cars, it will definitely outperform standard F-150s.

In addition to technical updates, the model received styling changes: a black grille with an illuminated logo, new tailgate trim, and a special hitch cover.

To emphasize the car’s uniqueness, the interior is adorned with black leather with Roush red accents, American flags, and new badges. Aluminum pedals and an optional Alpine audio system add sporty charm. Carbon fiber inserts and an additional compartment in the center console are also available.

The complete Nitemare upgrade package starts at $19,999 on top of the base pickup’s cost and includes a 3-year warranty on all installed components.
