New Anniversary Editions of the Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler
Jeep continues its Twelve 4 Twelve campaign by introducing new special editions of its vehicles. Following the Wrangler Whitecap and Moab 392 models, the world has seen the anniversary editions of the Gladiator and Wrangler, dedicated to the brand’s 85th anniversary. These versions are positioned as the most affordable among the special editions.
Exterior and Appearance
The new models are based on the Sport S trim. Their exterior has received a number of unique elements:
Updated Interior and Comfort
Even more changes await the driver and passengers inside the vehicle. The main feature has become the houndstooth fabric seats with a patch indicating the 85th anniversary. The same fabric accent is present on the dashboard.
Bigger changes occur inside as the special editions have eye-catching plaid seats with an 85th anniversary tag.
Furthermore, the interior is decorated with a special plaque and a medallion on the gear shift lever. Standard equipment also includes Berber floor mats, a premium Alpine audio system, and the Convenience Group package. This package adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start, and a keyless passive entry system.
Technical Specifications and Prices
The heart of both anniversary models remains the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. Its power is 285 horsepower, and torque is 260 pound-feet.
The starting price for the Jeep Gladiator 85th Anniversary Edition is set at $45,820 USD. The Wrangler version will cost from $46,300. Compared to similarly equipped Sport S variants with the same convenience package and audio system, the anniversary models are more expensive by $1,005 and $710, respectively.
Jeep has already begun accepting orders for these vehicles. The models will also be available for buyers in Canada, where the price for the Gladiator will start from 57,490 Canadian dollars, and the Wrangler from 65,885.
The presentation of these special editions underscores Jeep’s strategy of regularly updating its model range and maintaining interest in its legendary off-road vehicles. The emphasis on affordability within the anniversary series may be an attempt to attract new customers who seek uniqueness but are not ready for significantly higher costs, as is the case with more powerful and exclusive modifications. Using a proven technical base allows keeping prices relatively competitive, while offering customers a sense of belonging to the brand’s history through design details and special trim.
