This Indian Version of the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition is Different from the Regular One

Stellantis clearly values its heritage and loves to release special versions of cars. Their new product is the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition, which debuted in India as a limited series of 30 units. This model differs from the American version, although both pay tribute to the original Willys with retro styling.

This modification, based on the Rubicon, received updates in design and equipment. The most noticeable change is the exclusive ’41 Green color, inspired by the military shade of the original Willys. The hood is adorned with a sticker of the year 1941, adding a touch of nostalgia.

For those who want more personalization, an additional accessory kit is available, including a Sunrider top, side ladder, and roof rack. Electrically powered side steps come as standard, making it easier to get into the cabin. Unfortunately, the Indian version did not receive the updated wheels like the US model, but for true off-road enthusiasts, this is not critical.

Inside the cabin, you can notice retro elements, such as stylized handles and floor mats with bright red lettering. Cameras for recording in the front and rear are also provided.

Unlike the American version with a 4xe hybrid powertrain, the Indian model runs on gasoline. Under the hood is the familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 270 hp (201 kW) with a torque of 400 Nm. It has all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition is available exclusively in India with a starting price of 67.65 lakh rupees (approximately $80,300) excluding taxes. The full accessory kit will cost an additional 4.65 lakh ($5,500). With all markups, the price can reach 73.24 lakh ($87,000).

The manufacturer states that the special version costs 1.59 lakh ($1,900) more than the regular Wrangler Rubicon, excluding accessories. For the 30 lucky individuals who can purchase it, this premium may be justified by the exclusivity and limited production run.
