This “Crown Victoria” Might Be the Coolest Car Saleen Never Built

Ford Crown Victoria Restyling in the Saleen Style

The Ford Crown Victoria was always associated with police cars and taxis, but rarely appeared in the tuning world. However, a digital artist showed what this car could have looked like if it had been taken on by Saleen, a company known for its Mustang modifications.

The concept combines the aggression of a muscle car with the practicality of a four-door sedan. The author was inspired by the S281 model, adapting its style to the Crown Vic’s shape. Externally, the car received darkened headlights, a new bumper with sporty air intakes, a hood with ventilation holes, and chrome wheels.

The most impressive part of the concept became the rear end with a large spoiler, a powerful diffuser, and a center exhaust.

Under the hood, the artist envisioned a supercharged 4.6-liter V8, which was once installed on the S281. Such a power unit could develop 400 hp, turning the former workhorse into a true sports sedan.

Although a real Saleen Crown Victoria was never created, this concept demonstrates how interesting such a project could have been. It proves that even the “workhorses” of the automotive world can become the basis for unusual tuned versions.
