New Mercedes-AMG CLA 2026: what is known
The new 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA is gradually shedding its camouflage, revealing its features. The high-performance version has received a unique front bumper with large air intakes and an active rear spoiler. Despite the fact that the regular version of the CLA has not even been released in North America yet, the development of the AMG model is already underway.
At the front, the car has a closed radiator grille, LED headlights with a star effect, and sporty side skirts. The wheel rims are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and the braking system is equipped with red calipers. An active spoiler is noticeable on the rear of the body, and a modified diffuser is also expected.
Interior and technical features
The interior will likely receive a minimalist design with a sports steering wheel and digital panels. Among them are a 10.25-inch instrument panel, a 14-inch multimedia system, and the same screen for the front passenger.
Details about the powertrain remain unofficial, but rumors suggest the model will receive three electric motors from Yasa (a subsidiary of Mercedes) with a combined output of over 500 hp. This will allow it to compete with the Tesla Model 3 Performance. A unique battery and a “V8 Mode,” which simulates the sound of an eight-cylinder engine, are also possible.
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA is expected to become one of the most powerful models in its segment, combining innovative technologies with traditional AMG characteristics. The manufacturer is clearly trying to satisfy both electric vehicle enthusiasts and those who are nostalgic for classic sports cars.
