This Polaris model for $36,999 changes color from bright blue to another under certain conditions

Polaris Introduces Exclusive Slingshot Version

Polaris has introduced a new, limited series of its three-wheeled Slingshot vehicle — the Signature Edition. This model is based on the top-tier R variant and is designed for those who want to stand out even more.

Unique Design and Paintwork

The main hallmark of the new model is its exclusive camouflage. The vehicle is painted in a Golden Steel shade with a color-changing effect that transitions from light blue to golden under different lighting conditions. This iridescent sheen harmoniously combines with the deep black color of the Black Crystal accents.

The exterior is also adorned with black graphic elements, gold pinstripes, special Signature Edition badges, and darkened or polished Polaris emblems. A sport hood with ventilation openings is installed as standard, and the model rides on black wheels, behind which red Brembo brake calipers are visible.

Rich Standard Equipment

The open two-seater cabin is equipped with a modern multimedia system. The centerpiece is a 7-inch display with navigation, support for Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and a vehicle locator system.

Other key comfort elements include the powerful Lighting Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 Max audio system and the programmable XKGlow interior lighting, which synchronizes with music and is controlled via a mobile app.

Technical Specifications and Performance

Like the base R model, the Signature Edition is equipped with the familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder Prostar engine producing 204 hp. Torque is 149.8 lb-ft.

Buyers are offered a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes 4.9 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 125 mph.

Price and Availability

Production of the Signature Edition will be limited. Its starting price is $36,999, making it the second most expensive in the 2026 Polaris Slingshot lineup, positioned between the R model ($34,999) and the Grand Touring ($41,999). The most affordable remains the base S model, which starts at $24,999.

The arrival of the Signature Edition once again highlights the niche position of the Polaris Slingshot in the market. It is not just a vehicle, but rather a means of self-expression that combines elements of a motorcycle, a sports car, and an open-top buggy. The limited series and unique paintwork are likely aimed at collectors and enthusiasts seeking maximum individuality. The technical foundation remains proven and reliable, allowing one to focus on the driving emotions and the attention this unusual vehicle attracts.
