2025 Toyota Harrier Update

The Japanese automaker Toyota has introduced an updated version of its popular SUV Harrier for the 2025 model year. Despite this model no longer being sold in North America, it remains relevant in Japan. The main changes concern additional standard equipment and a new special Nightshade Edition.

The fourth-generation Harrier debuted back in 2020, and now Toyota has presented minor updates. Among them is an improved Safety Sense system, which now better recognizes bicycles and motorcycles and has gained new functions such as lane departure warning. Furthermore, all trim levels now come with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

The new Nightshade Edition, based on the Z trim, is of particular interest. It features:

The technical specifications remain unchanged – the Harrier is offered with gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Prices for the new model start from approximately $25,600 for the base front-wheel-drive version, while the top PHEV version costs about $43,200.

The 2025 updates show that Toyota continues to develop the Harrier model despite its age. A special emphasis is placed on safety and comfort, making this SUV even more attractive for the Japanese market. The new Nightshade Edition adds a more sporty and aggressive character to the model range, which may interest a younger audience.
