Rimac has introduced an exclusive version of its hypercar called the Nevera R Founder’s Edition. Production is limited to just ten units, each of which will receive unique exterior details. The owners of these cars will gain access to closed-door events, strategic discussions, and the opportunity to be the first to learn about the company’s future products.
Exclusive Access Instead of a Regular Car
The Rimac Nevera R is already an ultra-rare phenomenon in the hypercar world, with only 40 examples planned for production. However, for those seeking even greater uniqueness, there is now a Founder’s Edition version, with its run limited to ten specimens. This is not a typical limited series. Customers will gain access to an experience usually closed to outsiders, effectively entering Rimac’s inner circle. They will participate in internal strategic and research discussions, be the first to learn about future products, and attend record-setting attempts.
What Exactly Do Owners Receive?
The journey begins at Rimac’s vast campus in Zagreb, where each of the ten owners will be personally greeted by founder and CEO Mate Rimac together with Design Director Franko Haiman. Together, they will guide the clients through the individual configuration of their Founder’s Edition car, using real-time visualization tools to customize colors, materials, and trim with an unusual level of control.
Externally, the special version features a two-tone livery, accentuated by ultra-thin stripes along the hood, roof, and rear spoiler, each containing graphics inspired by printed circuit boards. There is also a Founder’s Edition emblem with Mate Rimac’s initials on the front fenders, while handcrafted details can be chosen at the owner’s discretion.
Inside, the asymmetric seat trim is a nod to Mate Rimac’s personal car. The upholstery is handcrafted, and nearly every surface can be customized. The doors feature embroidered dates important to Rimac’s history, MR initials on the headrests, and a Founder’s Edition plaque is placed between the seats.
Technical Specifications and Records
As for performance, the Founder’s Edition version makes no changes to the already staggering figures of the Nevera R. It is still equipped with four electric motors that together produce 2,107 horsepower. Earlier this year, the Nevera R broke records, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.72 seconds and reaching a top speed of 431.45 km/h. This figure was later surpassed by the claimed 496.22 km/h from the BYD YangWang U9, albeit not under officially recognized conditions.
Long-Term Membership Privileges
However, what truly sets the Founder’s Edition apart are the long-term privileges it unlocks. Rimac describes the offering as follows:
“Throughout the ownership period, the ten members of the Founder’s Club will receive priority invitations to product presentations, a corporate card providing direct access to Bugatti Rimac headquarters, invitations to performance demonstrations and record runs, participation in strategic discussions with Mate and the team, as well as the opportunity to influence the research and development that will create the revolutionary cars of the future. This small global group of individuals also receives other exclusive benefits and invitations as part of their membership, the precise details of which are known only to the Founders.”
So, it is a car, but it is also an entry point into the inner workings of a technologically advanced automotive company, including driving instruction from Rimac’s professional test pilots to help owners truly unlock the car’s potential. And after the production of each car is completed, Mate Rimac will personally hand over the keys.
Price and Thanks from the Founder
Rimac has not disclosed an official price for the Founder’s Edition version, although the standard Nevera R starts at 2.3 million euros before taxes. It is safe to assume that the new version will comfortably exceed this figure. Mate Rimac thanked the clients, adding that without them, everything they have built would not have been possible. He wanted to find a way to honor the leading figures who helped shape this journey and invite ten of them to learn about the company’s world in a completely new way.
Similar initiatives demonstrate a shift in focus in the world of exclusive cars, where the material product is increasingly combined with intangible experience and access. For the manufacturer, this is not only a way to reward the most loyal clients but also a strategy for deeper engagement that turns owners into brand ambassadors and, potentially, a source of valuable insights for future developments. Limiting the series to just ten cars underscores that the ultra-luxury goods market increasingly values the uniqueness of status and privileges, not just technical specifications.
