An Extraordinary Project: Toyota Prius in Cybertruck Style
Sometimes, such unusual projects appear online that it’s simply impossible to pass by. This time, it’s about a Toyota Prius that was turned into a parody of a Tesla Cybertruck in the form of a future police car. The author of the project, Johnny Lange, who is involved in transporting special vehicles, decided to joke about the Cybertruck’s design without spending a lot of money.
A standard 2004 Prius with over 200,000 miles on the odometer was used as the base. After dismantling the bumpers, hood, and other body elements, Johnny created an angular frame from steel tubes that mimics the shape of the Cybertruck. Aluminum panels were attached using double-sided tape and rivets, which added a special charm to the project.
Details and Auction
The finished car received LED lighting, imitation weaponry, strobe lights, and original decals with the inscription “Space Patrol.” The interior remained almost untouched, except for alien masks on the seat headrests. The technical specifications remained the same, only spacers for a wider track were added.
According to the author, the creation of the Cybercop took four months, and all funds from the sale will go to charity.
Johnny Lange is known for his collection of unusual cars, which includes a Pontiac Trans Am, a custom GMC in the style of the “A-Team,” and a Ferrari F430. This project became another creative experiment that not only brings a smile but also supports an important social initiative.
Such projects remind us that car culture is not only about serious technologies and high speeds but also a place for humor and creativity. Sometimes, it is such extraordinary ideas that draw attention to important social problems, combining entertainment with a good cause.
