The limited edition Dodge Challenger Black Ghost has become one of the most valuable among the “Last Call” models. Recently, one specimen with only 26 miles on it was sold for $128 thousand – an amount typically asked for the more powerful Demon 170.
The uniqueness of the Black Ghost lies in its historical significance. The model was created in honor of the legendary street racer of the 1970s. The initial cost of the car was $100,865, but its collectible value allowed it to be sold for significantly more, despite a general decline in market prices.
Technical Features
The Black Ghost is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 807 hp. Although these figures are inferior to the Demon 170, the model’s design with a black body, vinyl roof styled like alligator skin, and a white stripe on the trunk makes it easily recognizable.
Previous sales of the Black Ghost demonstrated higher prices – in 2023, one specimen went for $150 thousand. However, the current result of $128 thousand for an almost new car is considered very successful, given the general market trends. Collectors are clearly willing to pay for rare models with a historical background, even if their technical specifications are not record-breaking.
