This Camouflaged V8 Supercar Shows AMG in Its Most Unrestrained Form

Mercedes-AMG GT Track Sport: A Concept for Records

Mercedes-AMG has released the first teasers of the GT Track Sport concept. The car features an aggressive front splitter, a NACA air intake, and a massive rear wing. The company hinted that this model could become the basis for a future production vehicle.

The Mercedes-AMG GT lineup already offers engines ranging from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to an 805 hp hybrid V8. However, the new concept promises to be even more extreme. The manufacturer describes it as “a car without compromises, created to set new speed standards.”

“The GT family is not yet complete” – the company stated, hinting at a future expansion of the lineup.

Design Details

The teasers show a unique radiator grille, perforated covers over the front wheels (possibly ventilation vents), and alloy wheels with high-performance Michelin tires. The rear wing emphasizes the sporty character of the concept.

The production version is expected to get a V8 engine. Currently, the GT lineup offers four models with V8 engines producing from 469 to 603 hp, while the hybrid version develops 805 hp. The full concept presentation is expected to take place soon.

This concept demonstrates how Mercedes-AMG plans to develop its lineup of high-performance cars. The focus on aerodynamics and power indicates the brand’s intentions to compete with the best representatives of the supercar segment. It is particularly interesting to see how the technologies presented in the GT Track Sport will be applied in future production models.
