Gunther Werks Introduces the Unique Porsche 911 GWX
Gunther Werks, known for its exclusive Porsche 911 modifications, introduced the new GWX model during Monterey Car Week. This car will be the most limited series in the brand’s lineup – only three units will be built, and they can only be purchased by invitation.
A feature of the GWX is its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine producing 440 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. To improve dynamics, engineers installed special throttle bodies. The car’s body is almost entirely made of carbon, which significantly reduces weight.
Exterior and Interior
The GWX’s design is impressive: widened front fenders, custom side skirts, new rear panels, and a hood – all crafted from carbon fiber. The car received a sporty front bumper, a diffuser, and a massive rear wing with an air intake.
The interior is no less impressive: carbon fiber bucket seats with black and white leather, a leather steering wheel with Alcantara, an updated instrument panel. Finished in a signature purple color with silver accents, the GWX demonstrates a high level of personalization.
“This car embodies all our knowledge of modernizing the Porsche 911 and takes it to a new level,” said the company’s founder, Peter Nam.
The price of the GWX has not been disclosed, but given the limited series and exclusivity, it will be significantly higher than other Gunther Werks models. This is not just a car, but a true moving work of art for the most discerning collectors.
Previous Gunther Werks projects have already become objects of desire for collectors, and the GWX is likely to continue this trend. Given the technological innovations and attention to detail, this model could set a new standard for high-end restomods of classic cars.
