by The Dacia Duster 2019 lineup will expand with a new version featuring a 1.3-liter petrol turbo engine. This was announced during the Paris Auto Show. It can be expected that this engine will also be received by Renault Duster.
The new engine was recently developed jointly by Renault, Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz. It is already installed in the Mercedes A-Class and the updated Renault Kadjar. Duster 2019 will receive it in two versions – with 130 hp and 240 Nm, as well as 150 hp and 250 Nm.
The top variant will become the most powerful production Duster in history. Of course, it’s not a Cayenne or a BMW X5 M, but 150 hp will be quite sufficient for the lightweight crossover. Moreover, in this price category, few offer such power.
Initially, the new Duster 1.3 will be front-wheel drive, but a four-wheel drive modification will appear soon.
