This is the first instance in the history of the Ukrainian market involving the import of American petroleum products. According to enkorr, the producer of the petroleum products is Marathon Petroleum Company.
“In my memory, this is the first instance of American petroleum products arriving to us. It is a very symbolic event, as it shows how the market in Ukraine and Europe is transforming as a result of anti-Russian sanctions. It is the best illustration of the destruction of myths about the impossibility of life without Russian petroleum products,” commented Serhiy Kuyun, Director of the “A-95” Consulting Group.
And although these are still just rumors, there is a possibility that soon Ukraine will begin importing fuel from Taiwan. Moreover, during the times of war, fuel has been imported to Ukraine from a variety of countries… the Netherlands, Lithuania, Slovakia, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, and even India.
