Dodge Hints at Surprise Summer Debuts, One Might Be The Charger SRT Hellcat

Dodge Prepares Surprises for Roadkill Nights: Will the Charger SRT Hellcat Appear?

During the media presentation of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee pickup, Stellantis’ head of American brands, Tim Kuniskis, made an intriguing statement about the future that went almost unnoticed. He hinted that an unexpected debut will take place at the Roadkill Nights event.

The head of Ram and SRT did not go into details, but Dodge has already confirmed “new product announcements” for this event. This is not surprising, as the brand has always paid great attention to the celebrations preceding the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Four years ago, Dodge virtually took over the M1 Concourse for a week, unveiling several new models at once. Among them were the all-new Hornet, the Charger Daytona SRT concept, and other debuts.

What Lies Behind the Veil of Secrecy?

It is not clear what exactly the automaker has prepared this time, but the wording hints at at least two new models. Given that Kuniskis heads SRT, and Stellantis recently confirmed plans for the Charger SRT Hellcat, it is logical to assume that the long-awaited model could debut as early as August. It is expected to feature a massive rear wing and a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing around 777 horsepower.

As for other announcements, it could be anything: from an ordinary special series to something much more significant. As is known, Dodge is working on several new and updated models, including an updated Durango, a new GLH crossover, and the flagship Copperhead.

The Return of Roadkill Nights

Although the brand is keeping the intrigue, Roadkill Nights will take place on August 8 and will offer two racing venues in 2026. Drag racing on Woodward is returning, and a brand new event on the M1 Concourse road course will join it.

The company will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Charger with a large-scale car show, and the event will feature exhibits and invited celebrities.

Thus, August promises to be hot for Dodge fans. In addition to the return of the legendary Charger SRT Hellcat with its incredible power, the company will likely unveil several more new products that could significantly refresh the brand’s lineup. Special attention should be paid to the new GLH crossover and the flagship Copperhead, which could be a response to modern market challenges where performance and electrification are combined. Roadkill Nights 2026, with its two racing disciplines, will be the perfect platform to showcase both classic power and new technologies.
