The richest Ukrainian is rapidly buying elite real estate, but not in Ukraine. Last year, Rinat Akhmetov bought the most expensive private house in the world (it is located in France), and on the eve of the New Year 2021, it turns out, he bought a villa in Switzerland for his son.

According to a member of the supervisory board of the joint-stock company “Ukrzaliznytsia,” Serhiy Leshchenko, the house on the shore of Lake Geneva cost the oligarch’s family 2 billion hryvnias when converted. As TopFlat writes, the estate intended for Damir Akhmetov consists of a luxurious villa and a smaller house, and the plot is 7600 square meters.

The estate was bought from Mansour Akram Ojjeh, a French businessman who is a co-owner of the TAG empire and the McLaren Formula One team, and his son is known for his passion not only for motorsports but also for collecting supercars.

It should also be noted that the richest Ukrainian, Rinat Akhmetov, became much richer last year (now his fortune is $7.6 billion), as evidenced by the new rating of the richest Ukrainians for 2021.
