Gunther Werks Introduces an Aerodynamic Kit for the Porsche 911 Turbo S
Gunther Werks, known for its restomods based on the Porsche 993, has now turned its attention to the more modern 911 Turbo S (992.1). This car, considered one of the most refined in the Porsche lineup, has become the perfect canvas for aerodynamic and visual upgrades.
The new kit, developed under the GW9 brand, includes eight carbon fiber elements that not only improve aerodynamics but also give the car a more aggressive look. In fact, these parts make the Turbo S resemble a potential version from the GT division.
Upgrade Details
The front features a large splitter with aerodynamic winglets and fins, as well as carbon fiber air intake covers. The side skirts and air intake deflectors not only look stylish but also improve airflow.
The carbon fiber used by Gunther Werks is 20-30% stronger than standard, and all elements attach to the car’s factory mounting points.
The rear gets a diffuser and a fixed wing, which enhance downforce at high speeds. Additionally, lightweight magnesium alloy wheels measuring 20 and 21 inches are available for $25,920.
Upgrade Cost
The full set of upgrades will cost Turbo S owners a hefty sum:
- Front splitter: from $18,752
- Air intake covers: from $6,246
- Side skirts: from $9,373
- Rear wing: from $18,762
The full kit in glossy carbon costs $85,299, while the satin version is priced at $87,175. For many, this may seem excessive, but for those seeking exclusivity and maximum performance, such investments may be justified.
The prices of Gunther Werks’ components confirm the brand’s status as a manufacturer of premium tuning solutions. At the same time, they demonstrate how seriously the company approaches improving the performance of even high-tech cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
