Available Adapter Unlocks Key Advantage for Acura and Honda Electric Vehicle Owners

Honda and Acura Gain Access to Tesla Supercharger Network

Owners of the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX electric vehicles can now use the network of Tesla Supercharger fast-charging stations in North America. This is made possible by a special adapter that allows vehicles with a CCS port to connect to stations with the NACS standard. The cost of such an adapter is $225.

Honda has confirmed that the adapter has undergone compatibility testing with the Prologue and ZDX, guaranteeing stable operation. The use of unofficial accessories may lead to denial of warranty service. The adapter is currently available from Honda and Acura dealers, as well as through the official online store.

The first Honda models with a native NACS port will appear in 2026 — these will be the production versions of the 0 Series vehicles.

Charging Infrastructure Prospects

As of June 2025, over 67 thousand Honda and Acura electric vehicles have been sold in the USA, which have now gained access to over 23.5 thousand Tesla Supercharger stations. By 2030, the company plans to provide its customers with access to 100 thousand fast-charging devices in North America.

Currently, to use Superchargers, owners need to download the Tesla app, but in the future, the functionality will be integrated into HondaLink and Acura EV. Drivers can already find stations through the built-in Google Maps.

This initiative is part of a broader collaboration between electric vehicle manufacturers aimed at standardizing charging. The growth in the number of compatible stations will significantly increase the convenience of operating electric vehicles, especially during long trips. Honda and Acura continue to expand their electric lineup, making access to reliable infrastructure even more important for the future of the brands.
