Despite the fact that demand for sedans has been declining in recent years, Hyundai proves the opposite. As of 2025, the company has sold 62,356 Elantras in the U.S., which is 24% more than last year. In May alone, 15,741 units of this model were sold.
Particular interest is drawn by the sporty Elantra N version, whose sales grew by 141% in May. This model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 276 hp and is offered with either a manual or automated transmission. Its starting price is $34,350.
Hyundai Sales Dynamics
Overall, Hyundai’s sales in the U.S. grew by 11% in 2025. The company has already reached the milestone of 17 million vehicles sold since its debut on the American market in 1986.
The most popular model remains the Tucson—78,565 units were sold in five months. Santa Fe and Palisade also show positive dynamics. However, Santa Cruz and Ioniq 6 are losing their positions.
Interestingly, the Venue shows the highest growth—its sales increased by 74% in May. This indicates that the market continues to evolve, and Hyundai knows how to adapt to new conditions by offering models that meet demand.
