Two compact electric motors the size of a suitcase allegedly produce 3,111 horsepower

Chinese company Dreame, known for its vacuum cleaners, continues to surprise the automotive world. Its new brand Kosmera, introduced in January, showcased two futuristic electric vehicles that outwardly resemble Bugatti. Now, new technical details have emerged that could make these models among the most powerful production cars in the world.

Compact engine with extraordinary power

Kosmera is developing a dual-motor axial module using advanced axial electric motors. One such module is installed on the front axle, another on the rear axle. Each module includes a silicon carbide inverter and a rotor reinforced with carbon fiber. According to the company, this compact unit is capable of producing 1,555 hp (1,160 kW).

If two modules are combined, resulting in four electric motors, peak power could reach an incredible 3,111 hp (2,320 kW). This would surpass the figures of the BYD Yangwang U9 Xtreme with its claimed 2,978 hp. Kosmera claims the motors “fit into a 20-inch suitcase,” which is smaller than a standard 23-inch piece of luggage.

Technologies and architecture

The electric motors are developed by Kosmera’s own division — Axion Power. They operate on a 1,200-volt architecture. The company aims to achieve a power density of 60.5 kW/kg or 81.1 hp/kg. All key technologies, including thermal management, bearing systems, and magnetic flux control, are developed in-house. It is also noted that the motors will provide complex torque vectoring control.

Star Matrix model: Bugatti style in a four-door body

The first model, named Star Matrix, has clear design features borrowed from the Bugatti Chiron, Mistral, and Brouillard. The car features a massive horseshoe-shaped grille, huge air intakes, a carbon fiber splitter at the front, and intricate LED headlights. Unlike two-door Bugattis, the Star Matrix is a four-door sedan. Its side lines look particularly elegant, while the rear features a prominent LED strip, a fixed rear spoiler, and a large diffuser. The interior, according to published images, is designed for four passengers.

Star Razer model: butterfly doors and absence of B-pillars

The second model, Star Razer, has fewer borrowings from Bugatti, aside from the characteristic C-shaped line on the sides. This is also a four-door car, but its front doors are styled like those of a supercar — as “butterfly wings,” while the rear doors are coupe-style. Thanks to this solution, the car has no fixed B-pillars, giving it a unique appearance.

Both Kosmera models, Star Matrix and Star Razer, will use the described innovative drive modules. If the company manages to achieve the stated characteristics, these electric vehicles will become among the most powerful production cars in history, combining hypercar power with the practicality of a four-door sedan. This is another step by Chinese manufacturers in the battle for leadership in the ultra-premium electric vehicle segment, where technology and design play a decisive role. It is worth noting that Kosmera is not simply copying the styling of well-known brands but also offers its own technical solutions, including a unique powertrain layout, which could become their key competitive advantage.
