Solution and Its Implementation
GM has developed a special protective shield designed to divert spilled fuel. Company representatives have stated that the part has already been designed, but time is needed for its mass production.

Lengthy Waits

In the meantime, GM advises owners to follow safety rules during refueling: fully insert the nozzle, turn off the engine, and do not top off the fuel after the pump automatically shuts off.
