This is a 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody that once belonged to Shaquille O’Neal.
Dubbed the Shaqcat, it’s a heavily modified version of an already very powerful super sedan.
This unique Shaqcat has just over 4,000 miles and is now available at auction through SBX Cars.
Dodge builds pretty good cars, but this particular Charger takes things to an outer level. Up for sale is this 2022 SRT Redeye Widebody specimen, which was once owned and fully customized by former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal. It produces 900 horsepower (671 kW), and its exterior is as bright as its engine.
And if you missed it, this is one of three “Shaqcats” built by Forbes Performance specifically for the 7’11” giant himself.
The Charger Redeye needs no introduction. It rolled off the production line with 717 horsepower (534 kW), but that wasn’t enough for Shaq. He asked the specialists at Forbes Performance and Duster Hoff Racing to give him extra power—if you can call roughly 200 additional horsepower “extra.” Brembo brakes, adaptive suspension dampers, SRT drive modes, front-wheel lock, and a launch control system are all part of this package.
Finished in Smoke Show gray, it looks subdued until the lights come on. Under the car and through the grille inside are red lights that highlight the black, gray, and carbon fiber on the body. The only 20-inch Signature Performance wheels ensure all eyes are on it when it rolls up.
Inside, things are mostly everyday but with special touches. There’s black Laguna leather, Alcantara inserts, white contrast stitching, and a sunroof. Responsible for multimedia playback is a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that can play media as loudly or as crystal clear as you like. Of course, listening to the supercharger’s whistle is probably just as good, if not better.
With just over 4,000 miles on the odometer, this Shaqcat has barely been broken in. Since it’s a unique custom creation in more ways than one, it will be interesting to see where the bidding ends. Those interested can check it out. There are no indications on the car yet, but given its celebrity connection and customization, we don’t think it’ll go cheap.
