by The electric vehicle UAZ is named the MWM Hunter EV. As you might guess, the foundation of this unusual electric SUV is the UAZ Hunter (the same UAZ-469, but modernized). However, the Czechs believe that the retro design is all advantages, especially when combined with a modern and environmentally friendly powertrain.
Of course, it’s still a 4X4, but the old 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine had about 135 horsepower and could accelerate the Hunter to a maximum speed of 128 km/h. The Czechs have installed a more efficient electric motor with 161 hp, which allows acceleration up to a maximum speed of 155 km/h.
The MWM Hunter EV is available with a 56 kW or 90 kW battery. In the latter case, the range of the electric UAZ on a single charge can reach 240 kilometers. The price – from 39,900 euros!
It should be noted that in November 2021, Americans placed hundreds of pre-orders for UAZ following its debut in the USA. This refers to the UAZ Patriot, exclusively imported by the California firm Bremach Inc.
