MG Cyberster Electric Roadster to Be Updated by 2026

Updates for the MG Cyberster in 2026

The MG Cyberster electric car, which combines British style with Chinese technology, will receive a number of updates for the 2026 model year. The updated version is already set to debut on the Chinese market in June of this year.

Among the changes are new color options for the exterior, such as Iris Green and Andes Gray. A special Black Edition with a fully black body and glossy wheels will also appear. The interior has gained two new upholstery combinations: black with red and gray with white. For greater comfort, an additional wind deflector and electric lumbar support adjustment for the seats have been added.

Technical Improvements

The model is expected to receive an updated suspension and an improved battery system through software tuning. The base technical specifications will remain unchanged: a rear-wheel-drive variant with a single motor (335 hp) and an all-wheel-drive version with two motors (536 hp).

In China, the MG Cyberster is offered with 64 kWh and 77 kWh batteries, providing a range from 501 to 580 km.

Prices for the updated model have not yet been announced, but in China, the current version costs from $44,500 to $50,900. The updates will likely be gradually rolled out to other markets, including the UK, throughout the year.

Besides the roadster, the coupe Cyber GTS is also launching into production, which will share its technical platform with the Cyberster. Both models demonstrate MG’s ambitions in the electric vehicle segment, combining dynamic design with modern technology. The scissor doors, which have become one of the model’s signature features, attract particular attention.
